I have developed a spreadsheet to track TIme Weighted Internal Rate of Return, its basically the system fund managers use to compare performance to an indice. I use the AXJO which is the ASX 200 total return index - that is the ASX200 including all dividends reinvested and compounded. You can get the data for it here,
http://au.spindices.com/indices/equity/sp-asx-200 just click on the box with lines in it beneath the 'add' button on the top right hand corner of the graph, if you select a time period on the graph view you can then download all the data for that time period!
